KEVIN RICHARDS MEMORIAL OVAL

Public BBQ

Kevin Richards Memorial Oval emerges as a versatile community space that doubles as overflow accommodation for caravans while the local park undergoes roadworks. The expansive field features a shaded grandstand offering respite from the Australian sun, while families gravitate toward the sandy playground area. A small BBQ facility and toilet block provide essential amenities, though visitors shouldn't expect elaborate cooking facilities. The oval's well-maintained lighting extends usage into evening hours, making it particularly appealing for sporting events and community gatherings. Construction of what promises to be an impressive children's playground suggests this space is evolving beyond its current modest offerings. Dog owners appreciate the pet-friendly policy and the luxury of actual green grass - a welcome sight that speaks to proper maintenance. While hardly a destination in itself, the oval serves its community admirably as a practical gathering spot where grandparents can watch interschool sports carnivals and families can enjoy straightforward outdoor recreation.
